COPA MEXICO in this its Bicentennial NEXTEL Edition is a joint effort between the Mexican Government, the Government of Nayarit and the Mexican Sailing Associations. It is a great international perpetual event, multiclasses that will take place every two years, throughout the coasts and ports of Mexico.

The Latin America Boat Show 2010 will celebrate it's second edition in Mexico, from the 11th to the 15th of March 2010, at the Riviera Nayarit Mexico, hosted by the best marina in the Pacific Ocean.

In March of 2008, Puerto Vallarta hosted the MEXORC and Banderas Bay Regatta sailing events. The Mexican Ocean Racing Circuit (MEXORC) has been one of the most prestigious ocean sailing events since its inception in 1976. Competitors include the best of the Mexican and North American fleets. In its 32 years, this bi-annual race has had as many as 300 participants a year.

Sailing is a sport that in a very general way, is the development of sailboat races (called regattas), which take place at sea, in lakes or any body of water with enough area to set up a course.

Marina Riviera Nayarit has decided to promote the destination Riviera Nayarit by carrying out nautical events that support the national economy, in this case by means of an exhibition of boats from the best brand names in this segment at prices even lower than those found in United States.
